I have confidence it will be going up long term, and have an extreme jump towards the end of the year.
Sports are gone, no concerts, cant go shopping some places. I think this is an insanely smart move, covid has increased time use on spotify as another form of entertainment. The profit margins will be growing, the most important thing. More podcast listeners means less royalties to pay and more ads for people to listen too. Remember when netflix never created content and then they did? It changed the core value of what netflix was. I wonder with the dc comic podcast if spotify themselves will create content.
Now the stock went up today because they have exclusive rights for Kim Kardashian justice crime podcast, and intellectual rights to use DC comics in podcasts, and they also bought a huge sports center podcast company. They have acquired joe rogan, and we saw the stock jump that day. So they are making a big shift into the podcasting industry They were unprofitable because of the song royalties they payed out Its easy to use and navigate, relatively cheap, they are expanding beyond America and I think into Germany, India, and the middle east but dont quote me on that. They have a monopoly on songs, its user base is insanely huge. I think they are going to dominate the entire industry. Depending on the market in the next month or 2 I might sink another 2 or 3 shares into spotify.
